Repacking the FIZZIQ Botting machine

When repackaging the machine to send to us for warranty repair, you do not need to include any of the hoses or peripherals--we only need the machine. Contact us if you no longer have the original boxes the machine arrived in, and we will send you a new set of FIZZIQ packaging.

If you are sending back your entire system for resale in the FIZZIQ Marketplace, see the section below on repacking FIZZIQ accessories for shipment.

Instructions:

  1. If possible, we recommend you ship the machine with the platform in the up position (see Fig. 1 below). If the machine is inoperable and you can't raise the platform, it is acceptable to ship the unit with the platform in the down position.

  2. Disconnect all hoses and power supply. For warranty repair of the machine itself, you do not need to ship these back to us.

  3. If we sent you a new set of packing materials for the FIZZIQ return, open the outer box and remove the inner box which will hold the machine. Note the positions of the five pieces of bubble wrap included; you will need to put these back exactly the same way when you pack the boxes back up with the machine. If you still have your original packing materials and are using those, try to duplicate the process outlined below as closely as possible.

  4. Identify the bottom white foam packing insert. It is the one with the notch cutout for the bulkhead fittings (see red circle in Fig. 2). Set machine into the foam insert so that the bulkhead hose fittings in the rear of the machine fit into the notch and the machine's safety door fits the curve in the front of the foam insert (see Fig. 3).

  5. Push the top white foam insert onto the top of the machine (see Fig. 4).

  6. Carefully lift the machine and foam inserts into the smaller, inner box face up (see Fig. 5). Careful; it is heavy, at about 45 lbs.

  7. Tape the inner box shut with clear packing tape, which is provided in the box if we sent you packing materials. (see Fig 6). Be sure to tape the edges of the box too.

  8. There are five pieces of bubble wrap included. Place one piece of bubble wrap on the bottom of the larger box to cushion the bottom.

  9. Place the inner machine box into the outer box. Again, be careful--it is heavy. Stuff one piece of bubble wrap into each of the gaps on the long sides the boxes. Stuff the remaining two pieces short end first into the gaps on the short ends of the boxes, and fold the free end of the bubble wrap over the top of the inner box (see Fig. 7). All six sides of the inner box are now cushioned.

  10. Close and tape the outer box shut with two layers of tape on all edges (see Fig. 8).

  11. Affix shipping labels and ship.

    Repacking the FIZZIQ System Accessories

    If you are sending back your FIZZIQ System for resale in the FIZZIQ Marketplace, you will also need to send back several of the accessories. We require the following:

    • FIZZIQ-branded carbonation vessel. The original vessel has the FIZZIQ sticker on the side and color-coded gray and black bands on the gas and liquid fittings, respectively (see Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 below).

    • Original chrome regulator with Perlage Systems branding on the housing (see Fig. 3).

    • Original Kastar power supply (see Fig. 4).

    • All four hoses that attach to the back of the machine (see Fig. 5).

    • You do not need to send back the bottle capper, bottles, bottle caps, or cleaning compound.

    Instructions:

    1. Wrap the carbonation vessel in the large piece bubble wrap provided in the FIZZIQ Accessories box (the long, narrow box). Tape the bubble wrap in place with the packing tape provided, and set the wrapped vessel in the box (see Fig. 6).

    2. In the smaller box provided, you will find a piece of bubble wrap. Wrap the FIZZIQ regulator in this and put it in the box. Set the Power Supply on top of the wrapped Regulator (see Fig. 7), and close and tape the box.

    3. Coil the four FIZZIQ hoses together, and zip tie them with the provided zip ties (see Fig. 8).

    4. Place the Regulator box on top of the keg, and the hoses on top of the Regulator box. Pad the hoses with a piece of the provided bubble wrap (see Fig. 9).

    5. Fold the remaining piece of bubble wrap and place it on top of the Regulator box. Check that all the components are correctly packed as shown in Fig. 10.
    6. Close the box and tape securely. Affix shipping labels and ship.
