Applied Fizzics, Inc. Announces Kickstarter Campaign for New Product

Applied Fizzics announced a Kickstarter campaign to bring to market a new product that will be a direct competitor to the SodaStream carbonated water maker. The product also fills a gap in the Company's product line by providing a method for home consumers to preserve the carbonation of any soda that comes in standard PET bottles, from 12 ounces to two liters.

Everyone knows the disappointment of pulling a half-full bottle of your favorite soda pop out of the refrigerator and finding it dead flat. To this day, there has never been a good solution to this problem.

Until now. Introducing the FIZZiO Soda Fizzer.

The FIZZiO Soda Fizzer is a cap that fits on any PET beverage bottle--simply screw it on. Then, use our handy filler to repressurize the bottle with CO2, and presto! Your soda will stay bubbly indefinitely.

In fact, even if you did accidentally let your soda go flat, you can instantly recarbonate it--or any other beverage you put in the bottle and want to add some bubbles to. That's right: FIZZiO is also an economical home carbonator!

If you currently own the Perlage Champagne Preserver or the Perlini Cocktail Carbonator, you already own the means to repressurize the bottle. The FIZZiO cap is all you need, and is completely interoperable with our other pressurizers, including the handheld filler and the commercial pressurizer.

And here's even bigger news: We are working on a new portable filler that uses a standard SodaStream CO2 cylinder as the gas source. SodaStream cylinders are available worldwide and are used by tens of millions of people. They are extremely economical and convenient to purchase--or even better--to exchange empties for refilled cylinders at most stores where SodaStream is sold. Think of the new FIZZiO filler as a "pro-sumer" version of our line of pressurizers, between the home version of the handheld filler and our commercial filler.

The advantages of the new FIZZiO SodaStream pressurizer are:

• • More economical. The new FIZZiO SodaStream filler costs just pennies per use, about a tenth the cost of use of our current handheld filler.  
    
    
  • More efficient. Our current filler gives a half-dozen repressurizations per CO2 cartridge; the new FIZZiO SodaStream filler gives hundreds per cylinder. This means far less fussing with empty cartridges.
    
    
  • Much faster fill rates. The new FIZZiO SodaStream filler is five times faster than our current handheld pressurizer.
    
    
  • Greater convenience. When your FIZZiO SodaStream cylinder is empty, simply exchange it for a full one at your local Target, Walmart, Bartell Drugs, Fred Meyer, Kohl's, and hundreds of other retailers. You can even do it by mail.
    
    
  • No waste. By exchanging your FIZZiO SodaStream cylinders, you aren't contributing to landfill waste by discarding used 16-gram cartridges.

The FIZZiO SodaStream filler will come with a reusable neoprene sleeve to help protect kitchen surfaces from scratches from the metal SodaStream cylinder.
